Squirrels like to live in a area where there is an abundance of food for them to eat.They also like a area of grasses and plants which is edible to them. Squirrels have to live in a place with trees even if that means living in apark in the thw city.Red squirrls usually live in forest while the grey squirrel usually live near cities.

General Biology of Gray Squirrels
Gray squirrels (Sciurus carolinensis) typically
are gray on the top of the body and
have a white underside. The gray squirrel
measures 18 to 20 inches long, its broad
bushy tail accounting for about half its
length, and weighs 1 to 1.5 pounds. Most
adult gray squirrels first breed in mid-
December or early January, and 5 to 10
percent of older females may breed again
in June.
